My role as a health volunteer in Southern Senegal was multi-faceted. I collaborated and built credibility with stakeholders at various levels in the community, conducted and authored a baseline assessment, designed and co-facilitating a maternal and child health training, and supported on-going health campaigns in the region among other projects- mind you this was all done in a mix of the local Fulani language & French!
