The Peace Corps is a service-based U.S government organization located in 63 countries with the aim of creating sustainable and equitable change by working closely with host country nationals to tackle their most pressing needs.
As a Preventative Health Worker in southern Senegal, my role was multi-faceted. In my work, I collaborated with diverse stakeholders and partners, conducted and authored a baseline assessment, designed and co-facilitated a maternal and child health training series, and supported on-going health campaigns in the region among other projects. Mind you, this was all done in a mix of the local Fulani language & French!
