Over the course of March 2016 to December 2016, 18 mothers and 8 community health workers from my village of Thiabedji and 6 surrounding villages attended a training series focused on improving their knowledge of various maternal and child health topics.
In this role I:
- Collaborated with clinic staff, community health workers, and women’s groups presidents and committee members to craft curriculum and select trainees
- Obtained project funds by authoring and overseeing a Feed the Future grant
- Designed agendas and project materials materials
- Co-facilitated each training
- Oversaw post-training evaluations

Results:
- 28 trainees increased their knowledge and capacity related to maternal and child health
- Over 200 community members across 7 villages educated via educational health talks
