Female Employment in Japan & the Failure of the EEOL Research Paper
Research Paper PPT Presentation
For the Japan 381 Women & Work in Society final paper, students were tasked with writing a research paper on any aspect of Japanese society that was intriguing to them and presenting their findings to the class. As a policy major, I decided to focus on the Equal Employment Opportunity Law (EEOL) and sought to demonstrate how the EEOL ultimately failed to help women gain access to jobs from which they were formerly denied. To do this, I focused on the events leading up to the passage of the EEOL, the law itself, its impact on female employment, and current policy action being taken by the Japanese government.
Below is a sample of this paper.
